This iconic Cretan hotel has been welcoming guests for over two decades and for 2024 has embraced a new look and feel. The Blue Palace boutique hotel, open from May 2024 onwards, features just 47 bungalows and suites. The hotel offers refreshed interiors and will provide a more intimate, personalised experience in the same majestic location.
Remodelled rooms and suites, set amongst the hotel's fragrant gardens, take their colour palette from the surrounding landscape, and seamlessly combine natural textures and authentic craftsmanship. The exceptional Royal Blue Villa features elegant amenities, and a private heated pool. The interior is home to exceptional furnishings, original artworks and unique deco pieces, such as the iconic Klismos chair crafted by the Saridis design studio in Athens.
The hotel's restaurants weave together flavours and fragrances, fully embracing a fresh Mediterranean approach that captures the essence of each season in every dish. A short stroll along the beach, Blue Door Taverna offers an enchanting atmosphere in which to taste timeless traditional Cretan cuisine. Phaea Farmers Feast pop-up restaurant welcomes guests to a farm-to-table gastronomic experience, with authentic Cretan notes. Anthos features the freshest take on Greek contemporary cuisine with innovative food concepts, led by award-winning Creative Consultant Chef Athinagoras Kostakos.
The second phase of this remodelling project, Rosewood Blue Palace, is scheduled to debut in 2025 with 154 rooms and suites, and promising an ultra-luxury experience that captures the true essence of the Crete.

Greece is well known for its cuisine and Crete for its excellent natural produce such as olive oil, honey, fresh fruits vegetables and wine. No better place to enjoy these treats than at Olea with stunning views of Spinalonga. With a great selection of delicious starters, salads, desserts and specials of the day. Decadent American buffet breakfasts and French Champagne is served daily 7.15am – 10.30am. International, Greek and Cretan cuisine is served for dinner 18.30pm – 21.30pm. There is also a private section exclusively for guests of the hotels luxury suits and villas.

This Beach club was designed by award winning architects K- studio. It serves an enticing range of snacks and drinks with atmospheric music. They offer pool and beachside service for those wishing to remain relaxed in the lazy summer days.
Blue Palace provides state of the art machines in a 168 m2 fitness centre that enjoys fantastic sea views for excellent motivation. Classes such as step, personal training, Cretan dance yoga and meditation can be organised. With a particularly popular sunrise yoga class. These classes can be twinned with the seminars on nutrition and cooking tasty balanced meals. A nearby water sports centre can organise water skiing, windsurfing, Knee board, wake board, snorkelling and even scuba diving courses and night dives. With preferential green fees and rental fees guests can organise their golf in the nearby golf 18 hole golf course just 30 minutes away.
The award winning spa at Blue Palace offers ultimate luxury. Once guest have broken away from the stunning sea views they can enjoy several treatments using local high quality products. With 23 treatment rooms, couples suites, saunas, Hammam and Jacuzzi guest will always find the perfect way to relax and unwind. Spa access is complementary to guests and treatments are chargeable. Children under 16 are not permitted. Open 9.00- 21.00 daily with individual treatments 12.00-20.00. Advance reservation is highly recommended.
The hotel offers a supervised kids club, a great opportunity to meet new friends and create memories you’ll come home talking about. A children’s playground is available and babysitting can be arranged on request. Special spa treatments are available for children aged 8- 16.
