But where do you start? Here are a few suggestions that prove a very popular escape for our customers during this month.

See our where to go, when guide for destination recommendations throughout the year.

Malta

While you shouldn’t expect scorching summer heat in Malta at this time of year, it’s still a great time to visit. Malta enjoys beautiful sunshine in January which makes it a gorgeous place to explore. It’s a quieter time of year too; with less tourists around you can enjoy a more calming and peaceful break. On an island as manageable as this you can do the usual city break things like monuments, museums, galleries and churches, and also fit in a couple of hikes and nature trails.

AX Palace, Sliema

Urban chic meets serene relaxation at AX The Palace, where a stunning mix of contemporary décor and old-fashioned elegance combine in one of Malta’s most sought-after five star hotels. The hotel is conveniently located 500 metres from a rocky beach and local restaurants, bars, cafés and the promenade in Sliema,

Grand Hotel Excelsior, Valletta

From its unique location by the edge of the sea, Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta is nestled between the mighty 16th century bastion walls of Valletta and the Marsamxett Harbour, and offers simply stunning views of both the harbour and Manoel Island.

The aspiration was soon realised and the hotel is not only splendid, but ideally placed for visitors wanting to discover this truly remarkable city.

The Maldives The Maldives are also a fantastic destination during this month especially if you’re craving some heat.
