Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

Step back in time for the journey of a lifetime

The legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express offers a travel experience like no other. Step back in time to a golden age of travel: a gracious, glamourous and elegant age. Vintage 1920s carriages, rich with craftmanship, feature private cabins of sumptuous upholstery, gleaming wood marquetry, polished brass and antique fixtures, soft towels and crisp linens. A white-gloved, blue and gold liveried cabin steward attends to your every comfort.

Step back into a bygone era of timeless luxury and romance.

London to Venice

Take the classic route from London to Venice, the gateway to the Orient. Board the Belmond British Pullman train at London Victoria and enjoy brunch and Bellini as you travel through the Kent countryside. After crossing the Channel step aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express to savour a delicious four-course dinner. Retire to your cabin before waking to magnificent mountain scenery and breakfast served at a time to suit you. A leisurely three-course lunch is served in one of the beautiful restaurant cars, before afternoon tea and your arrival into Venice’s Santa Lucia station crossing the Venetian Lagoon.

This breath-taking journey through rural French farmlands and Swiss Alpine valleys can be travelled in either direction, or both.

Time to dine

Bar Car 3674 glows with a champagne sparkle, rings to the sound of a baby grand, and is famed for its divine cocktails.  Three elegant dining cars featuring Lalique glass, black lacquer panels and softly muted lighting to enhance the relaxed mood. Fine linen, sparkling silverware and superb crystal set the scene for a gastronomic experience to remember: the seasonal favours of Europe transformed into artisanal cuisine by the Executive Chef and his equipe.

Dining onboard becomes a treasured memory.
