Venture aboard the M/S Ambassador and delight in a luxury cruise along the Adriatic Sea. Set sail on an enchanting eight-day cruise, beginning your journey in the historic city of Dubrovnik and then meandering your way up to the beautiful beaches of Split.

Itinerary:

Day 1 – Saturday: Dubrovnik

Resting in Dubrovnik Gruz Harbour, guests are welcome to board at any time. Cabins are available from 1pm, however luggage can be left safely aboard allowing for exploration of Dubrovnik. At 7pm a welcome meeting will be led by the cruise director, who will introduce the captain, crew and other passengers. The welcome dinner will then commence at 7:30pm.

The captain will await all passengers arriving late at night, also providing dinner to those who miss the welcome meal.

Day 2 – Sunday: Dubrovnik to the Island of Sipan

After breakfast a coach containing an English-speaking guide will arrive to take the guests on a tour of Dubrovnik, which is a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site. A historical masterpiece, the tour will take you around the city’s most interesting sites, revealing why the city is nicknamed the pearl of the Adriatic. After the tour, guests are free to explore the city by themselves, guests may choose to visit the City Walls or venture up Mount Srd by cable car. Between 3 and 4pm, guest will be returned to the M/S Ambassador. Once everyone is aboard, the cruise ship will depart for the island of Sipan, docking in the charming fisherman’s village of Sipanska Luka (if lock schedules / weather conditions prevent this, the ship will cruise on to Slano located on the mainland).

Lunch will not be provided on this day to allow guests more time in the city.

(Breakfast and lunch provided)

Day 3 – Monday: Sipan Island (or Slano) to Mljet National Park to Korcula

Departing for Mljet National park in the morning, you will arrive with plenty of time to explore. Wander around the Great and Small Lake, visit a 12th century Benedictine Monastery on the Islet of St Mary and take a swim in the heart of the national park. After lunch served onboard, the ship will set off for the island of Korcula, arriving in the afternoon. A local guide will then give you a tour of the island’s main settlement, the town of Korcula, known as the birth place of the famed adventurer Marco Polo. Explore the town’s cobbled streets and in the evening relish in the freedom to explore by yourself and indulge in the enticing cuisine served at one of the town’s local restaurants.

Entrance fees to the National Park are included.

(Breakfast and lunch provided)

Day 4 – Tuesday: Korcula to Vis

Spend the morning gently cruising towards the Island of Vis. With lunch onboard and the opportunity to swim on the way, your journey will be peaceful and relaxing. Being rather unique, the island of Vis offered a strategic military stronghold for centuries. Relatively untouched by tourist development the island retains its unspoilt beaches, ecological agriculture and charming traditional architecture. Spend the afternoon delving into Vis town and fall in love with its untouched charm.

(Breakfast and lunch provided)

Day 5 – Wednesday: Vis to Bisevo Blue Cave then on to Hvar

Only accessible by boat, the Blue cave’s white bottom reflects light creating a mystical deep aquamarine and shiny silver light. With waves dictating whether the cave can be reached, an alternative adventure has been planned in case the journey to the cave is not possible. This alternative involves journeying to the islands World War II RAF airport and the beautiful town of Komiza. After pausing for a swim and lunch, the ship will continue its voyage towards Hvar. Enjoying an abundance of sunshine, guests will be led on a guided tour of the city, and learn about the area’s lively history, vibrant culture and interesting local customs.

(Breakfast and lunch provided)

Day 6 – Thursday: Hvar to Bol to Trogir

Start your morning with a gentle voyage to the island of Bol. Containing one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, Bol offers a wonderful location to stroll around. After wandering through the streets of the charming Dalmatian town or cooling off in the sea, lunch will be served onboard the ship. The M/S Ambassador will then commence its journey towards the city of Trogir, located on mainland Croatia. Similar to Dubrovnik, Trogir is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, bedecked by palaces, churches, monasteries and towers. After a guided tour of the area, guests can explore freely, spend time fully appreciating the Cathedral of St Lawrence with its magnificent sacral architecture, or taste local delicacies in the local cafes and restaurants. In the evening a captain’s dinner will be held on board the ship, with live music to create a joyful ambiance.

(Breakfast and lunch provided)

Day 7 – Friday: Trogir to Split

In the morning the ship will depart Trogir for Split. With a stop for a swim along the way and lunch served on board, you will soon arrive at the thriving city of Split.
