Join the coach tour in either the romantic city of Venice (Italy) or the vibrant city of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and continue the tour to picturesque Split (Croatia).

Escorted by an English speaking tour guide, you will experience the best of Slovenia and Croatia and learn the fascinating stories behind the attractions you visit.

With hotels included during the tour, you will begin meandering your way through Slovenia and Croatia, visiting the highlights of each country and indulging in a range of tantalising traditional dishes along the way.

Day 1: (If you are starting from Venice, Italy)

Greeted by your English speaking guide at the Piazzale Roma in Venice, you will hop aboard your minivan or coach at 9am and set off on an exciting journey through Slovenia and Croatia.

As you are transported into neighbouring Slovenia, breath-taking scenery lines the roads leading the way to your first stop, Postojna Cave. After this awe-inspiring underground adventure, you travel as a group to have lunch before continuing on to the town of Bled.

Known for its immense natural beauty and mild climate, the attractive alpine resort of Bled offers a paradise away from the bustling city. After arriving you will visit, by traditional Pletna boat, the iconic Church of the Assumption located at the centre of Lake Bled.

Then you can relax as you spend the night in one of the resorts fabulous 4 star hotels.

Day 2:

In the morning you will set off into the areas enchanting mountain region in order to reach the Bohinj Lake. Delve into the attractive 700 year old Church of St John the Baptist and gaze out over the waters of the lake at the majestic surrounding scenery.

As a group you will then take the cable car to the top of Mount Vogel, allowing you to look down to the lake and out across the Julian Alps mountain range with its highest peak, Mount Triglav, rising above it all.

You will then enjoy a tantalising traditional Slovenian lunch at a local restaurant before travelling back to the hotel in Bled.

Day 3:

After breakfast at 9am guests will be met by the tour guide in the hotel reception. Hopping back on the minivan or coach and you’ll be heading off to Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.

(For those joining the tour in Ljubljana, you will meet the guide at Mesni Trg at 10:30am.)

Once arrived and settled you will be lead as a group on a tour of the city. Throughout the tour, the preserved evidence of the city’s five thousand year old history unravels before your eyes. Discover a host of historical buildings, a collection of picturesque bridges that stretch across the city’s river and the splendidly vast Tivoli Park.

Lunch will be enjoyed in a centrally located restaurant and in the afternoon, the group will depart for Zagreb where your next hotel is located.

Day 4:

After breakfast guests will be taken on a tour of Zagreb. As you stroll around the city your guide will introduce you to the historical aspects of the city including, among other things, the fortified upper town (the city’s historical centre), St Mark’s Church with its multicoloured roof and the Croatian National Theatre.

For lunch you can taste some traditional Zagorje cuisine. After that the day is yours. With open-air markets and an abundance of other shopping areas in the Upper Town, along with green parks and plenty of walking opportunities, there is plenty to keep you occupied.

Day 5:

After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for Plitvice National Park. Croatia’s first contribution to UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage, this national park entices you in with its breath-taking views, natural waterfalls and brilliantly blue lakes.

After enjoying a traditional Lika country lunch and spending more time exploring the area, you will depart for Zadar to find your next hotel.

Day 6:

For the final day of your tour, after breakfast, you will be guided around the city of Zadar. The tour will include a Roman Forum from the 1st Century, St Donatus Church from the 9th century and the magnificent Cathedral of St Anastasia. Despite its troubled past the area has managed to maintain its historical roots, with testaments still standing from the flourishing golden age of art and culture that inhabited the city in the 11th and the 14th centuries.

After some free time, lunch will be enjoyed en route to National Park Krka. With spell-binding, cascading waterfalls and a diverse collection of plants, birds and fish, this location offers peace and serenity to all who visit. Spend your time exploring the Ethno village, old mills and the impressive waterfall, Skradinski buk.

Then journey on to Split where your tour ends. Arriving at 18:00 hours, you can either continue onto the cruise, stay at one of our fabulous hotels in split or catch a flight home.
