Dating back to 1920 the exclusive Capri Tiberio Palace is just a short stroll from the famous Piazzetta and offers attentive service, magnificent views and an eclectic design blend of contemporary and retro. The guest bedrooms, each individually furnished, are cool and funky: there are coffee-table books on art and photography, wooden sculptures, exotic lamps, and curios from all over the world. Breakfast is a particularly generous spread and the Virgin Mary corner allows guest to mix their own drinks. Chic Jacky Bar suggests 1950’s Cuba with a white grand piano, panama hats and sublime cocktails.
There’s a small swimming pool on the terrace with loungers looking out towards the sea. The spa has sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool and multi-sensory showers, and there’s a well-equipped gym with free weights, spinning bike, treadmill, yoga and pilates. Sessions with personal trainers can be organised, featuring running sessions along island trails followed by a massage.
