The 4-star Porto Bay Falesia Hotel has a total of 310 guest rooms, with clear views overlooking the Falesia Beach. The beach itself fronts the hotel, while the surrounding area is green and lush; perfect for an afternoon’s daydreaming in the shade. On the beach, you can expect there to be a mix of sailing, swimming, and simple sunbathing to get involved in.
The Porto Bay Falesia offers guests a large outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers. There’s a children’s pool just nearby, plus an indoor heated swimming pool for cooler evenings. The hotel’s spa includes a range of treatments, sauna, Turkish bath, and a Jacuzzi, while the gym and tennis courts are there to keep active guests contented.
Give yourself a well-earned break with the on-site baby-sitting services, which are also available for use at the hotel. The warm and friendly staff here will make sure your little ones are well looked after whilst you enjoy some time à deux. A playground is also here to keep youngsters occupied during your stay.
The Standard, Superior and Junior rooms are all supremely decorated, making a warm and inviting base from which to explore. Many of the rooms offer stunning views overlooking the cliffs and beach, but if you’re really looking to treat yourselves, the Junior Suite is a larger and more spacious option. A large Veranda is attached to every room, enabling you to make the most of the Portuguese scenery. All rooms offer high speed Wi-Fi as well as a mini bar, while an adjoining living room with table and chairs is available, with air-conditioning. All rooms at the Porto Bay Falesia have been designed with true comfort and all those little extras in mind.
The hotel’s food and drink is also sure to please. The Porto Bay Falesia has some charming dining options. There are two restaurants – the Madeira, and Il Basilico – and two bars – Buzios, and Falesia – at the hotel.
Il Basilico, with its Italian theme, serves fresh and punchy Italian flavours al fresco or in the restaurant. During balmy summer nights, Il Basilico puts on live music as the sun starts to set. The Madeira Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner buffet-style. The courses here are fresh as can be, and often include varying themes from day to day.
The Falesia Bar & Lounge serves drinks and light meals during the day and evening. Buzios is the hotel’s liveliest bar, with cocktails and live music on the menu. Open until midnight, you can expect to see guests up and sashaying in Buzios.
The Porto Bay Falesia sits around 8km from the coastal city of the Algarve’s Albufeira. The town of Praia da Falesia is popular for its glorious sandy beaches and vivacious nightlife, while the charming town of Vilamoura is also just a short drive away (11km), and is known for its vast but lovely marina. The Algarve’s capital, Faro, is roughly 35km away from the hotel, making it a fantastic opportunity for a grand day out.
Due to the nature of this property we do not recommend it to people with walking difficulties as there are a large number of steps to the beach.
