Owing its name to the impressive 17th century towering stone cross at its entrance, the typically Canarian building which houses Parador de Cruz de Tejeda, dates back to the 1930’s.
Once a traditional restaurant, its conversion has transformed it into a high quality and environmentally-friendly parador in one of Gran Canaria’s most appealing natural beauty spots at the crossroads of ancient royal trails which are now very popular with hikers. There are 43 guest rooms most of which boast majestic views over flowing rivers and dormant volcanoes.
The typically Canarian Marmitia restaurant offers delectable traditional regional cuisine, with breakfast served at El Mirador Café. As well as a small indoor/outdoor spa pool, the spa also boasts a range of pampering treatments, Turkish bath and sauna. Located in the very centre of Gran Canaria and 9km from the village of Tejeda, the Parador boasts spectacular views over the Cruz de Tejeda mountain range and the Fraile and Bentayga hills.
