Hotel Features

Day 1– Bangkok

Arrive into Bangkok. Be met by our English-speaking representative. Transfer to your hotel. Remainder of first day at leisure. Stay at allocated hotel in Bangkok for 2 nights.

Day 2 – Bangkok

After breakfast, visit three of Bangkok’s most famous temples and the iconic Grand Palace. See the world’s largest gold statue, the Buddha of War Trimit, the Wat Pho Reclining Buddha, and the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew Temple which adjoins the majestic Grand Palace. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 3 – Bangkok to Ayutthaya and Phitsanuloke

After breakfast embark on a wonderful journey through central Thailand. Pass through the ancient capital of Ayutthaya and visit three of its magnificent Buddhist temples. Learn about the conquests and Burmese Wars which were the kingdom’s downfall. Stay at allocated hotel in Phitsanuloke for 1 night.

Day 4 – Phitsanuloke to Sukhothai and Lampang

After breakfast visit UNESCO listed Sukhothai Historical Park’s ruined temples, monasteries and beautiful standing Buddha statues. Within the walls of the site see the Sukhothai Monument to King Ramkhamhaeng, the Royal Palace and the Wat Mahathat temple. Stay at allocated hotel in Lampang for 1 night.

Day 5 – Lampang to Chiang Rai

A short visit to Wat Phra That Lampang Luang follows breakfast. Depart for Chiang Rai to visit the hill of Doi Mae Salong and ascend the mountain. Appreciate the life of the reclusive Akha tribes, their village and green tea plantation. Stay at allocated hotel in Chiang Rai for 2 nights.

Day 6 – Chiang Rai

After breakfast visit local tribes before the journey north to the Golden Triangle located on the border of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos. Witness magnificent views of the Mekong and Ruak rivers’ confluence and the beautiful surrounding area. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 6 – Baan Sao Don (Optional Excursion)

Take an optional boat tour to make the most of the spectacular river delta views and visit Baan Sao Don, a small town in rural Laos.

Day 7 – Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai

After breakfast visit the White Temple en route to Chiang Mai. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Northern Thailand and some local cuisine. In Chiang Mai call at the artisan village of Sankamphaeng where you can witness handicrafts involving silk, silver, saa paper and lacquerwares. Stay at allocated hotel in Chiang Mai for 2 nights.

Day 8 – Chiang Mai

After breakfast visit an elephant rescue camp. Prepare food for them before escorting them for a roam in the grasslands and a restorative and protective mud bath. Take in beautiful butterfly orchids before visiting the hilltop Doi Suthep Temple, one of the most sacred of Chiang Mai. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 9 – Return

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your return flight.

  • We recommend travelling light with no more than one piece of hold luggage and a day bag
