    Kefalos is a peaceful and picturesque village in south west Kos. Around 40km south of Kos Town, Kefalos was once the island's capital. Kefalos is perfect for those looking for the quieter side of Kos with rustic charm and ancient historical sites.

    Kefalos has 2 parts, the ancient clifftop village of Kefalos and its waterfront counterpart, Kamari. The traditional village is located on a pretty hilltop with exquisite views, charming old buildings and historical credentials. It's here you'll find narrow streets, traditional Greek eateries and friendly locals.

    Kamari is made up of a 2km long bay backed my fragrant pines. There is a harbour and promenade where café's, tavernas and bobbing yachts take centre stage. The beach itself is said to be Kos' prettiest beach with warm, calm waters that gently shelve.
