• Puerto Pollensa Holidays
  • Overview

It’s a rare delight to take breakfast on the water’s edge in Puerto Pollensa, as swallows and house martins dive from the pine trees to the surface of the still waters. The bay is hugely expansive and all the more dramatic for having the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the majestic beauty of Cap de Formentor as a backdrop.

A pine shaded, cobbled promenade edges its way alongside the narrow beach. As you walk its length, in the dappled Mallorcan sunshine, you’ll happen upon hotels and restaurants, and discover belle epoque villas, some beautifully restored, others decaying delightfully behind rusty, spiders webbed gates in overgrown gardens.

Back in town there’s the main square Plaza Miguel Capllonch, which provides a home for the busy Wedensday market.
