The four-star Lafodia Sea Resort is in a beautiful location on the traffic-free island of Lopud. Recently refurbished in a contemporary style, Lafodia offers breathtaking views across the Adriatic Sea. Lopud itself is often referred to as Middle Island and offers a sandy beach, Sunj, on the opposite side to the hotel. Don’t be put off though, it takes just half an hour to walk across the island! Lopud is just an hour’s ferry ride from Dubrovnik – perfect for discovering the iconic Old Town protected by ancient stone walls with its well-preserved Gothic buildings.
The Lafodia Sea Resort’s facilities will certainly make for a memorable stay. There’s the all-new Waterhill Spa that offers a range of relaxing treatments for guests looking to unwind, a humid zone complete with a whirlpool, an ice fountain, Turkish bath and a thermarium with several saunas. For guests seeking out privacy and pampering, there are a number of treatments available in the wellness centre, which is fitted with its own Jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath. To avoid disappointment, guests should be reminded that not all facilities are complimentary and are subject to seasonal demand.
Lafodia Sea Resort boasts two outdoor pools – one is a relaxing infinity pool with a terrace, the other is an activity pool found next to the small pebble beach just below the hotel. Along with the activity pool, guests who are looking to stay active whilst on holiday can also take advantage of bicycle hire, an open-air fitness centre, and numerous jogging and walking paths. There’s no better way to explore the island. For guests with children, there is a children’s pool and supervised kids’ club.
There are 182 rooms at the resort, of which there are eight different types for guests to choose from. Each room comes with a balcony or terrace, a tea and coffee-making station, complimentary safe, and bath or shower. Suites at the resort come complete with a separate lounge. The Master Suite offers its visitors a sea view and outdoor Jacuzzi. There are also rooms available for guests with disabilities.
With four restaurants to choose from, there are plenty of dining options available. The chef oversees fusions of traditional Croatian cuisine, served in the restaurant that overlooks the picturesque Lopud Bay. Dalma restaurant is the ideal choice for guests looking to wine and dine, whilst La Baja is a more informal bar and grill. Guests who choose to dine at The Scarlet can sample Italian dishes overlooking the sea. The hotel offers a cluster of delightful bars – the Eleven Bar is situated next to the main pool, at the heart of the hotel. The bartenders are more than happy to create any cocktail of your choosing and, from here, you can climb a staircase to the highest point of the hotel and enjoy your drink with a show-stopping view.
The nearest airport to the Lafodia Sea Resort is Dubrovnik, with transfers taking approximately 90 minutes.
