What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files sent to your computer’s browser ie Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, and then are stored on your computer’s hard disk. Strictly necessary: Strictly necessary cookies are essential to enable you to move around the site and use features and services. Classic Collection Holidays use this information to store previously viewed product, and make product recommendations to each user.
Performance: Performance cookies collect information about how the website is used ie. which pages are visited most often. These cookies don't collect personal information - all information is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
Targeting or advertising cookies: These cookies collect information about browser behaviour on a website in order to make advertising both on this site and other sites subsequently visited.

We may use this data to serve relevant ads about our products and services across the user’s internet journey. Chrome, for example, now uses ad blocking technology, but only for ads considered to be obtrusive such as autoplaying sound and video and full page ads. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, and for the purposes of the UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), we are a Data Controller and, as the privacy of our customers’ personal data is of paramount importance to us, we have detailed below how we safeguard its use.
Your personal information
We collect and use your information in the following situations
Whether you order a brochure, sign up to receive our e-marketing, request a holiday quotation, start a Live Chat, or confirm a booking with us, we will need some, or all, of the following: your name and title, date of birth, full address with postcode, email address and phone number (preferably mobile). Personal information will be held securely on our systems.
If you are paying a deposit to confirm a holiday or paying the balance, we will need your debit or credit card details including card number, name on card, expiry date and CVC. Plus, dependent upon the card, we’ll need the start date and issue number of the card and you’ll need to confirm the cardholder’s address. Credit and debit card transactions are instantaneous and encrypted and details are not stored by us. In exceptional circumstances and only when specifically instructed and authorised by you, your credit/debit card details may be passed to a third party.
How we use your personal information
We need your personal information so that we can send out brochures and pre and post departure travel documentation. We may use your mobile number in case we have to contact you urgently about your booking, or when you are in resort. Additionally, we are keen to keep you up to date about special offers and promotions which may be relevant and useful. We will ask you if you would like to receive our emarketing which if, at any time, you no longer wish to receive you can unsubscribe at the end of each email communication. Changes to your personal information
If you have booked a holiday and your name or any of your contact details have changed or require amending or updating, please advise us by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org, free phone 0800 008 7289 or 01903 836621 or by writing to our registered address.
How do we protect your personal information?
All the information you give us is held on secure servers and protected by Firewall software put in place to protect our network from security breaches.
Forwarding information to suppliers, agents and industry bodies
For the operational purposes of organising and fulfilling your holiday, your personal information will be passed to suppliers. These suppliers include, but are not limited to: airlines, hotels, transport companies and overseas agents.
In the event of our insolvency we, or any appointed insolvency practitioner, may disclose your personal information to The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or ABTA so that they can assess the status of your booking and advise you on the appropriate course of action under any scheme of financial protection. Third party direct mailing and emarketing suppliers
We believe that promoting offers, highlighting brochure launches and giving inspirational holiday ideas, may be of benefit to you, and we carry out direct mailings although these are on a small scale. These mailings only contain information about our own holidays which we feel are of legitimate interest to you. Your contact details (title, name and address) are passed to our mailing house exclusively for the purposes of sending brochures and other relevant marketing information (the mailing house deletes all personal data after 14 days of each mailing). Email addresses for e-marketing purposes are held by our e-marketing supplier so that we can promote our holidays to you. These suppliers hold your information on our behalf and they will never contact you directly, nor will they share your details with anyone else.
You may stop marketing communications at any time by letting us know.
Telephone call recording
We record calls in order maintain our high standards of service. Recordings are kept for a limited period of time and are only accessible by the management team.
Our commitment to data protection is managed by our group’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) who is responsible for ensuring that we, as an organisation, use best practices to protect your personal data.
